I'm just curious... what would you do if you won some enourmous amount of money, like a 50 million dollar lottery jackpot?

I would let my instincts lead me. I would find maybe 300 acres or more of nice land somewhere I felt would be the safest most comfortable spot. My dream is to build a come-unity of people. So I would get the land find people who could assist me in getting it ready mainly the people who would be part of the community. I would find those with ablility to grow organic food. So on so on. I know that there is much more to this vision I have for growing a come-unity but its still developing. I am still learning what it is that inside I yearn for and how to develop it.

For anyone who might not realize it come-unity is a play on words I enjoy so I spelled it that way on purpose. Laughing

i know exactly what i would do.
i would first start a charity for hands-on world geography tours for kids. i would build a self-sustainable community in different parts of the world, and have a kids club that travels to these places to learn firsthand the culture, the language, the land, and the animals.
next i would build my husband a dreamhouse with a vertical windtunnel right in the middle of it, so you can fly to different rooms in the house, and an open ceiling so he can jet to the top of it high enough to deploy a canopy and base jump into our yard.

That's a trip.. Sounds like you've been thinking about that already!

A good way to wake up in the morning, eh? Roll out of bed, and jetstream up to the kitchen for a cup of coffee, then blast out the roof to the car!! Surprised

Shoot! If I get the money I will have you help us spend it. HE HE! Laughing I love the sound of all that. Please start a topic on the hands-on world geography kids tour. The self-sustainable community is exactly what I want to build. I would love to explore alternative energy and so forth to be part of it. Off the grid kind of thing. I think its time to start a topic on it all on its on. Good to see ya!

I believe I would use most of it for a charity, for causes to help children, senior citizens, animals, and nature preservation. I would want to expand our children's knowledge and experiences beyond that of a schoolhouse to exploration of the world and peoples in it. I would want them to be able to tap into other interests and goals besides that which is greatly limited within the walls of our schools. I would also want to do something to improve the quality of life for our senior citizens and others who are shut away in abhorable living facilities. I would like to do something for the protection and safety of our animals and not have them robbed of their natural habitats. Hmmmmm, maybe I would need more money??

there is one more thing i thought i would do if i had any money left over from the lottery winnings. i would invest it in rebuidling classic cars that run on french fries fat and electricity, but figure out some way for them to maintain that wonderful rumble they make when you start them up. without shooting out toxic fumes from the back.
